DRD Tactical Aptus

You either believe in evolution or you don’t, and you’re wrong if you don’t (at least in this case). The Aptus® evolved from our popular Paratus® rifle, utilizing the same patented internal recoil and quick barrel change technologies in a smaller, even more discreet unit.

Just like its older brother, the Aptus® uses our patented internal recoil system that eliminates the standard buffer tubes and springs associated with most AR style rifles. This special feature allows it to be fired with the stock folded and maintain in the ready for close quarter battle situations. Latin for “ready”, this reliability is why we named it Aptus®.

The embodiment of discreet and designed for compact portability, the Aptus® can go from box-to-built in 60 seconds or less without the use of tools. We aren’t about to waste your time, so we work smarter, not harder. In doing so, we’ve eliminated the need for an additional upper to change calibers, giving you the ability to change between 5.56mm or .300 Blackout with the swap of a barrel (just go ahead and get both). Top things off with one of two finishes, Black hard coat type III anodizing or NIB Battleworn®, and your choice of discreet hard case or backpack.
